1. PURPOSE a. This policy established criteria for removal of individuals from the Albuquerque Air Route Traffic Control Center.

2. DISTRIBUTION a. This policy is intended for use by ZAB Administrative staff and also serves as a reference for ZAB Controllers.

3. BACKGROUND a. The Albuquerque ARTCC wishes to maintain an active, concise and current roster of controllers in order to provide high-quality, well-trained, and experienced controllers.

4. REQUIREMENTS a. It is herby required that all controllers do the following to maintain and “active” status at the ZAB ARTCC:

i. Controllers Rated S-1 to C-3

1. Control on the live VATSIM network, under an authorized ZAB Position for no less than 1 hour in a 60 day time period.

a. After 60 days of inactivity the controller may be removed without notification.

ii. Controllers with an OBS rating

1. After a controller with an OBS rating has been assigned to the ZAB ARTCC and have been welcomed by the ZAB Staff (ATM, DATM or TA) are required to as least work one (1) training session in a 60 day period.

2. If the new controller fails to meet the criteria above they will be removed, without further notification, from the ARTCC roster and will have to request a transfer to be reinstated as a student at ZAB.
